Stage VIII, The birth of a bell
Bell production
Metal is supplied to the
bell through several holes at the top of the crown using a gutter, and
degassing holes are also made. The metal flowing into the mold has a
temperature of over 1000 degrees C. This moment is called the birth of a bell.
After cooling down, the
bell is pulled out, the core and jacket are removed, and the bell in its final
form appears to the eyes of the bell founders.
The bell then
undergoes finishing treatment according to the client's instructions
(patinated, blackened, polished)
